A Bit About Me

I am a 26 year old Columbus native who once attended The Ohio State University for Pre-Law, but found my passion elsewhere. With the support of my family and girlfriend I have embraced a path that resonates with my creative abilities. When I'm not working, I like to stay active by hitting the gym or playing basketball. I love to keep up on sports, try new restaurants and experiences new places around the world.

My journey began when I decided to pursue my passion for Tattooing instead of studying law. I moved to upstate New York with my childhood friend Trey Flores, who was training to become a bodybuilder. This allowed us both to focus on our respective goals without distractions.

After months of dedicated practice drawing tattoo designs, I received an apprenticeship offer from Max McLean in March 2021. Overjoyed, I returned to begin my tattoo journey. Though my art was still developing, I was determined to improve.

I tattooed my first piece in the shop, a significant milestone after immense hard work. A few weeks later, I was hired as a full-time tattoo artist at another shop near my apartment.

Things progressed well at my first tattoo shop, but i knew venturing elsewhere would foster further growth. Nathan Varney from Riot Ink reached out to myself, Max McLean, and Armani Soriano about opening a new downtown location. We seized this opportunity, marking the true beginning of my tattoo journey's evolution.

At Riot Ink, I was exposed to diverse tattooing styles and surrounded by likeminded artists, pushing me to elevate my skills. Though I still had considerable progress to make, I was motivated by my peers' exceptional work.

Max, Armani and I began planning to open our own shop, necessitating a period of financial preparation. We joined Jimmy's Tattoo Studio in Westerville, Ohio, where I finally felt at home artistically. Free from constraints, I could explore desired tattoo styles and truly embrace my identity as an artist. Immersed in a close-knit group of five other artists, each week brought new learnings and technique refinements. My skills rapidly advanced in this supportive environment.

A pivotal career moment arrived in March 2023 at my first tattoo convention in Chicago. Determined to showcase my abilities to the tattoo community, I meticulously tattooed a marvel sleeve.

My longtime coworkers Max and Armani founded Ethos Collective, a tattoo shop under Budd Dairy Food Hall. Joining forces with them, I embarked on a journey to create a unique and inspiring environment for tattoo enthusiasts. Our collective vision was to blend artistry with community, offering clients not just tattoos but an experience that resonates with their personal stories and individuality.

With years of experience in the industry, my role at Ethos Collective involves not only tattooing, but to work towards mentoring upcoming artists and fostering a collaborative spirit. Our shop has quickly become a hub for creativity and innovation, reflecting our dedication to high-quality work and client satisfaction.

-Next in my journey, I joined paths with Fluff Studios, my videographers, in June of 2023. This collaboration allowed us to document and share our creative process and the stories behind each tattoo, further connecting with our audience. Around this time, I also began tattooing many members of the Columbus Crew soccer team as they celebrated their championship win, which was an incredible honor and a testament to our growing reputation.

-Around this time I started to really dive into traveling opportunities. I set up travels to Springfield with Chris Powell, Lancaster with Skyler Miller, Cleveland with Boney, and Winnie the Jroo in Utah. These trips allowed me to expand my horizons, meet new clients, and share my art with a broader audience.

-This marked yet another significant milestone as I completed my second tattoo convention at the Cyaninvitational. It was an amazing experience where I had the opportunity to tattoo for 19 hours over just two days, pushing my skills and endurance to new levels.

-The Ethos team and I were thrilled to participate in our first Hell City Tattoo Convention. This event was a major highlight, allowing us to showcase our work on a larger stage and connect with fellow artists and tattoo enthusiasts from around the world.

- Most recently in June of 2024, I received my first sponsorship from Mad Rabbit. This was a dream opportunity of mine, and I’m incredibly excited for the partnership. Mad Rabbit is renowned for its high-quality tattoo aftercare products, and their commitment to supporting tattoo artists aligns perfectly with my values. With Mad Rabbit’s backing, I’m looking forward to exploring new creative avenues, enhancing my clients’ tattoo healing experience, and participating in collaborative projects. This sponsorship is not just a milestone for my career but also a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my craft over the years.
